The Edge On Folk is broadcast every Saturday from 8am to noon, Pacific Time, on CiTR fm 101.9 in Vancouver, and live on www.citr.ca wherever you are. The show has been hosted by Steve Edge, more or less every week since June 1985! It is now syndicated on CHIR fm on Saltspring Island one week later on Sundays at 10am. (Their website is: chir.fm) 

Elbows Linked!: With Canada under serious threats from the orange pedophile in the White House, and this being one of our few SOCAN reporting weeks - wherein songwriters can claim their just rewards for creating the wonderful music we get to play on CiTR - I chose to feature the vast majority of this week's selections from Canadian songwriters and tunesmiths. The only exceptions were a sad RIP to legendary uilleann piper Paddy Keenan, and the local debut of the fabulous Spanish / Scottish fiddle duo San Miguel Fraser. Oh, and a hot new single from my favourite Senegalese band, Orchestra Baobab
